Castelló d’Empúries

This medieval town is home to a wealth of historic medieval buildings such as the Basilica of Santa Maria (the largest church in the Empordà region), the old town walls, the Jewish quarter and more.

You can also visit the fourteenth-century History Museum of Cúria-Presó and the Flour Mill and Eco-Museum.

Every year, during the first week of September, the town plays host to the medieval festival of Terra de Trobadors, featuring markets, street performances, competitions, medieval feasts and exhibitions.
