Butterflies, parrots and other exotic animals are waiting for you! Around Castelló d’Empúries, where Camping Mas Nou is located, there are plenty of natural gems such as Aiguamolls de l’Empordà and the landscapes of Costa Brava and the Bay of Roses.
Many of you already know this. But what you probably didn’t know is that very close to the meadows, the plains, the beaches… there is also a tropical forest! Yes, yes, you are reading it right!
In the Butterfly Park you will find a fascinating world of 2,000 square meters that has been delighting all ages and, especially, the family audience for more than 20 years.
A large number of animals await you, such as butterflies -which give the park its name-, turtles, exotic birds, iguanas… and even marsupials and bats! A highly recommended visit!
The ticket price is 10 € for adults and 8 € for children from 4 to 11 years old and will give you access to an interesting visit lasting an hour and a half.
Get ready to enjoy direct contact with nature and animals! In the butterfly garden (no less than one of the largest in Europe!) you will be able to learn first-hand about the life cycle of butterflies and all the curiosities that surround this beautiful insect. For example, you will be able to see the Attacus Atlas, the impressive largest butterfly in the world!
Thanks to the extensive and exuberant vegetation of the park, the work they carry out as a refuge for animals is possible, mostly birds bred in captivity that could not survive in the wild. This different zoo also does an important job of raising awareness among families about the responsibilities and everything that having an exotic bird at home entails. A very interesting learning for the little ones!
Dare to enter this small tropical jungle in the heart of Costa Brava. The lush vegetation and species that live in it will make you feel like real explorers.
