Dog friendly beaches in Costa Brava

We know that there are many campers who have dogs, with whom you want to share your leisure time, for example, at the beach.
It is true that it is not always easy to find coves or beaches where pets are allowed. For this reason, today we discover the ones you will find on the Costa Brava.

Rubina Beach – Empuriabrava
This beach is located between Empuriabrava and Roses, right in front of the Aiguamolls de l’Empordà Natural Park and was the first beach in Spain to have a dog area. It is a sandy beach with plenty of space for the animals to run and with the Gulf of Roses just in front of it.

Beach of Sant Jordi – Llançà
This sandy beach is about 50 meters long. It is located next to Grifeu Beach. It can be reached by the seaside path or by car, as there is a parking area in the streets of the nearby urbanizations.

Les Portes Beach – Colera
It is the main beach of the village, with a dog friendly area. It is highly recommended if you want to spend a quiet day at the beach with your dog as it is not a crowded village during summer. Besides, if you arrive by train, it will leave you practically next to the beach.

Playa Grande – El Port de la Selva
This beach is in the centre of the village. You will enjoy the tranquility on a beach overlooking the village and the horizon. As it is a beach facing north it can be a bit annoying when the tramontana blows.

Port de la Vall Beach – El Port de la Selva
Following the path that goes from Port de la Selva to Llançà, you will find the beach of Port de la Vall, a pebble beach. The left side is where dogs can swim. From here you can see the village of El Port de la Selva and the landscape of Cap de Creus just behind.

We hope you have a great time running along the beach together!
